Frailty check could predict oxygen drops during ERCP in seniors

NCT ID NCT07568912

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether frailty—a measure of overall health and weakness—can help predict dangerous drops in oxygen levels during a procedure called ERCP in people aged 65 and older. Researchers will first review past records of 313 patients, then test their predictions on 388 new patients. The goal is to create a simple tool doctors can use to plan safer sedation for older adults.
