First seen Mar 03, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether spending time in a forest (forest therapy) could improve symptoms and reduce inflammation in people with psychotic disorders. 80 adults with psychosis were randomly assigned to either receive forest therapy plus standard care, or standard care alone. The researchers measured changes in blood markers of inflammation and used questionnaires to track mood, anxiety, sleep, and quality of life.
