First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looked at how different ways of playing small-sided football (3v3 and 4v4) affect elite players' heart rates and ball-handling skills. Twenty-four male professional footballers played both freely and with passing rules while their heart responses and number of ball touches were measured. The goal is to help coaches pick the best game format to improve both fitness and technical ability during training.
