Foot massage studied as relief for harsh chemo nausea
NCT ID NCT03508180
Summary
This study tested whether foot reflexology (a type of massage) could help reduce nausea and vomiting caused by a common type of chemotherapy. It involved 80 adults with lung or digestive system cancers who were receiving platinum-based chemotherapy. Researchers compared the severity of nausea and vomiting in patients who received reflexology to those who did not, to see if it improved their comfort and quality of life.
