Researchers probe mysterious foot pain in arthritis patients
NCT ID NCT05698563
Summary
This study aimed to understand if a specific type of foot inflammation (intermetatarsal bursitis) is a direct cause of pain in people with rheumatoid arthritis. Researchers planned to use MRI and ultrasound scans to look for this inflammation in a small group of participants with foot pain and rheumatoid arthritis. The study was terminated early and did not test any treatments.
