First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether eating carbohydrates at the start or end of a pre-exercise meal changes how athletes use fat and carbs for energy and how well they perform in a cycling time trial. Nineteen healthy, trained male athletes will eat a standard meal in two different orders on separate days, then exercise. The goal is to learn if meal order can boost endurance.
