Could food insecurity be worsening Kids' liver disease?

NCT ID NCT07090083

Summary

This study aims to understand how a family's struggle to afford healthy food affects the severity of a common liver disease in children. Researchers will examine 160 children and teens with MASLD (fatty liver disease) from California clinics. They will measure liver health markers and compare them with families' food access and children's diets to see if poor nutrition explains the connection.
