VA tests 'Food as Medicine' for veterans with kidney problems

Summary
This pilot study is testing whether providing free boxes of fresh produce helps Veterans with moderate kidney disease and food insecurity. Twenty participants will receive food boxes for six months while researchers track their kidney health, blood pressure, and quality of life. The goal is to see if better food access can help manage kidney disease and improve overall health.
