Summary

This study looks at whether taking folic acid (a B vitamin) can help people living in areas with high arsenic levels remove more arsenic from their bodies. Arsenic is a toxic metal that can cause lung problems and other diseases. The study will involve 100 adults in Birmingham, Alabama, who are exposed to arsenic. Researchers will measure arsenic levels in urine and blood and track any changes in breathing symptoms over 12 weeks.
