NCT ID NCT07392294

First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested whether a silver-coated foam dressing works better than a standard foam dressing to prevent skin problems around the tracheostomy site in children. Fifty children who had tracheostomy surgery were randomly assigned to one of the two dressings and followed for one month. The goal was to see which dressing reduces complications like infection and pressure sores.
