First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This early study tests whether a fecal transplant from a healthy donor can safely ease severe diarrhea caused by immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in cancer patients. Four adults whose diarrhea did not improve with standard treatments received the transplant during a colonoscopy. The goal is to see if healthy bacteria can restore gut health and reduce symptoms.
