First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests whether capsules containing healthy donor stool (FMT) can prevent another round of C. diff infection in adults who have already had it at least twice. About 76 participants will receive either the real capsules or a placebo, and researchers will track who gets diarrhea again within 12 weeks. The goal is to see if this simple treatment can break the cycle of repeat infections.
