Skin glow test may reveal hidden inflammation in FMF patients

NCT ID NCT07439341

First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study explores whether a non-invasive skin test that measures advanced glycation end products (AGEs) can help track inflammation in people with Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF). Researchers will compare AGE levels with a blood-based inflammation marker called the CALLY index in 150 participants. The study does not test any treatment; it only observes and measures. Results may help doctors better understand long-term inflammation in FMF.
