Doctors seek perfect fluid dose to protect moms during C-Sections

NCT ID NCT07324512

Summary

This study aims to find the smallest effective amount of IV fluids that, when given with a blood pressure medication, prevents dangerous drops in blood pressure during spinal anesthesia for planned cesarean sections. Researchers will test different fluid volumes in 45 healthy pregnant adults having scheduled C-sections, adjusting the dose for each new participant based on the previous person's response. The goal is to identify a precise fluid amount that works for most people while monitoring for side effects in both mother and baby.
