Doctors seek perfect fluid dose to keep moms stable during C-Sections
NCT ID NCT07324512
Summary
This study aims to find the smallest effective amount of IV fluids that, when given with a blood pressure medication, prevents dangerous drops in blood pressure during spinal anesthesia for planned cesarean sections. Researchers will test different fluid volumes in about 45 healthy, full-term pregnant adults having scheduled C-sections. The goal is to identify a precise dose that works for most people while monitoring both the mother's and baby's safety and well-being.
