NCT ID NCT07303855
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at two different ways to give fluids through an IV to patients in the ICU after major abdominal surgery. One method uses a measure called cardiac index, and the other uses central venous pressure. The goal is to see which method helps doctors give the right amount of fluids, and whether it affects recovery, time in the ICU, or complications. About 60 adults aged 18 to 65 who are scheduled for elective major abdominal surgery and planned ICU stay will take part.
