Doctors test how fluids affect hearts of High-Risk moms during surgery
NCT ID NCT05435573
Summary
This study aimed to understand how giving IV fluids affects heart function in pregnant women with preeclampsia (a serious high blood pressure condition) during cesarean delivery. Researchers used a heart ultrasound to measure how the heart pumps blood before and after giving fluids to 34 women having planned C-sections. The goal was to gather better information to help guide safe fluid management during these high-risk deliveries.
