First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether getting a flu vaccine after a heart attack can lower the risk of another heart attack, stroke, or death. About 6,620 adults who recently had a heart attack will receive either a flu shot or a placebo. Researchers will follow them for one year to see if the vaccine helps prevent serious heart problems.
