New hope for older AML patients with FLT3 mutation: triple therapy trial underway

NCT ID NCT05520567

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study tests a combination of three drugs (gilteritinib, venetoclax, and azacitidine) in people newly diagnosed with a fast-growing type of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who cannot have standard chemotherapy. The goal is to find the best dose and see how well the treatment controls the disease. About 70 participants will receive the drugs in cycles, and those who respond well may continue maintenance therapy.
