New 'Flipped Discharge' model aims to ease stoma care at home

Summary
This study tests a 'Flipped Discharge' program for 200 colorectal cancer patients with a new stoma. Instead of standard hospital discharge, patients get a home visit or video follow-up from a specialist nurse three days after leaving the hospital. The goal is to reduce stoma complications and improve quality of life, self-care, and satisfaction.
