Can a flaxseed pill ease the transition to menopause?
NCT ID NCT07310485
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily flaxseed extract supplement can help reduce the severity of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and affect markers related to ovarian aging in women aged 40-55. About 70 healthy women in Jordan who are not on hormone therapy will take either the supplement or a placebo pill for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in PMS symptoms and certain genes to see if this natural plant compound offers benefits during the perimenopausal transition.
