Can a flaxseed pill ease the transition to menopause?
NCT ID NCT07310485
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily supplement made from flaxseed can help reduce the severity of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and affect certain biological markers related to ovarian aging in women aged 40-55. Seventy healthy women in Jordan who are not on hormone therapy will take either the flaxseed extract or a placebo pill for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in PMS symptoms and gene activity to see if this natural supplement could be a helpful option for managing symptoms during the perimenopausal transition.
