New heart test could predict future attacks
NCT ID NCT06890013
First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at a new technology called Cor-IS that measures how well blood vessels widen (flow mediated dilation) in people who have had a heart attack. Researchers will compare it to the standard FMD test and track patients for future heart problems. The goal is to see if Cor-IS can better predict who is at risk for another heart attack or stroke.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a simpler, more accurate way to assess heart health after a heart attack, helping doctors better predict and prevent future events.
What could go wrong
This is an early observational study with only 100 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The new method may not prove better than existing tests.
Conditions
The condition(s) this trial relates to.
As listed by the trial registrant
The condition terms exactly as the trial's registrant entered them.
