New gel aims to prevent childbirth tear infections

Summary
This study tests a gel called Flaminal Forte to see if it helps heal and prevent infections in cuts (episiotomies) made during childbirth. About 60 women who had a forceps or vacuum-assisted delivery will use the gel. Researchers will check healing and ask about pain and satisfaction for 3 weeks after birth.
