First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving antimalarial drugs to everyone living near a recent malaria case can stop the disease from spreading. Over 7,500 people in villages in Peru will take part. Half will get the extra drugs, and the other half will receive standard care like bed nets and testing. The goal is to see if this approach reduces new infections over three years.
