First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This small pilot study tested a 12-week high-intensity functional training program for adults aged 60 and older who have a long-term mobility disability but can still walk. The goal was to see if the program is feasible and can improve walking speed, endurance, balance, and leg strength. Only 13 people took part, so results are preliminary and not yet proven.
