Can a fitbit and texts stop diabetes in teens?

NCT ID NCT04953442

Summary

This study tested if a simple program using a Fitbit activity tracker and encouraging text messages could help Hispanic teenagers with obesity become more active and sleep longer. The goal was to see if these healthy habit changes could lower their risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Researchers worked with 43 teens over 12 weeks to see if the approach was practical and acceptable to them.
