First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a blood test that analyzes fetal DNA (cell-free DNA) can better detect certain genetic conditions in early pregnancy compared to standard screening. Over 1,000 pregnant women participated. The goal was to see how often the test gives a false positive or no result, especially for a condition called 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.
