New study aims to reduce firearm risks in military members by targeting fear of uncertainty

Summary
This study tests if adding a short therapy for fear of uncertainty to standard firearm safety counseling helps military members store guns more safely. About 100 active or recently discharged service members who own an unlocked, loaded firearm will take part. They will attend two counseling sessions and complete daily surveys for 28 days to track changes in storage habits.
