New drug combo aims to shrink throat tumors before surgery

Summary
This study tests whether adding the drug finotonlimab to chemotherapy before surgery can help people with advanced hypopharyngeal cancer live longer without the cancer coming back. About 116 adults who have not had prior treatment will be randomly assigned to receive either chemo alone or chemo plus finotonlimab. The main goal is to see if the combination delays cancer progression or recurrence.
