Puppets vs. pain: can playful distraction ease Kids' fear of needles?
NCT ID NCT07237074
Summary
This study aims to see if simple distractions like finger puppets or cartoons can help reduce pain and fear in young children (ages 3-6) when they get their blood drawn. Researchers will compare the pain and fear levels of 120 children who receive one of these playful distractions against those who do not. The goal is to find better, non-drug ways to make common medical procedures less scary and more comfortable for kids.
