First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests a new device called Fibulink to repair a specific ankle injury (syndesmosis disruption). The goal is to see if it keeps the ankle bones properly aligned while allowing patients to start walking fully at 4 weeks after surgery, which is earlier than usual. About 56 adults with certain ankle fractures or sprains will be enrolled. If successful, this could mean faster recovery and less risk of long-term joint damage.
