First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study compares two surgical repairs for a common type of knee meniscus tear (bucket-handle tear) in 120 adults aged 18-50. One group gets standard repair, the other gets repair plus a fibrin clot made from the patient's own blood to act as a healing scaffold. The goal is to see if the clot leads to better healing on MRI and improved knee function and activity scores one year after surgery.
