NCT ID NCT06179472
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests a surgery called FETO, where a tiny balloon is placed in the baby's windpipe while still in the womb, to help their lungs grow. It is for pregnant people carrying a baby with a severe form of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), a hole in the diaphragm that can make it hard for the lungs to develop. The goal is to see if this procedure helps more babies survive and have fewer serious health problems after birth.
