New ultrasound method aims to cut false alarms for fetal bowel issues

NCT ID NCT07039721

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to measure fetal bowel brightness on ultrasound more accurately. Currently, doctors rely on a subjective impression, which can lead to false alarms and unnecessary worry for parents. The study will compare standard and adjusted ultrasound settings in 50 pregnant women to see if the new method reduces errors.
