NCT ID NCT07570199

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding electrical-stimulation-assisted cycling to standard rehab helps stroke survivors with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a painful condition causing swelling and stiffness. Forty participants received either standard therapy alone or standard therapy plus 20 sessions of FES cycling. Researchers measured pain, hand swelling, function, and quality of life at 4 and 12 weeks to see if the cycling provided extra relief.
