Summary
This study compared two medications, fentanyl and dexmedetomidine, to see which one better keeps heart rate and blood pressure steady during spine surgery. Fifty adults having elective spine surgery received one of the two drugs as part of their anesthesia. Researchers measured their blood pressure and heart rate at several points during the operation to find out which drug provided more stable vital signs.
