Summary
This study compared two drugs, fentanyl and dexmedetomidine, to see which one keeps heart rate and blood pressure more stable during spine surgery. Fifty adults having elective spine surgery received one of the two drugs as part of their anesthesia. Their blood pressure and heart rate were measured at several points during the operation to see which drug worked better.
