Could your own poop save your life after a transplant?
NCT ID NCT04745221
Summary
This study is testing whether transplanting a patient's own gut bacteria back into them can prevent a dangerous immune reaction called acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after a bone marrow transplant from a half-matched donor. Researchers will recruit 100 patients who have received this type of transplant and have specific gut bacteria profiles. They will compare outcomes between those who receive the bacteria transplant and those who do not.
