First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study compares a new monitoring strategy using stool biomarkers against standard care for people with ulcerative colitis (UC) who are in remission. About 240 adults will be randomly assigned to either have their treatment adjusted based on stool test results or follow usual doctor visits. The goal is to see if the biomarker approach can delay or prevent relapses, reduce steroid use, and avoid hospitalizations or surgery.
