First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a type of scan called FDG PET/MRI can accurately locate the source of long-term pain that persists after surgery. About 128 adults with chronic pain after joint surgery and healthy volunteers will be scanned. If successful, this approach could help doctors treat chronic pain more effectively by targeting the exact source.
