Summary
This study reviewed the medical records of 266 hospitalized adults who had a special PET scan (FDG-PET/CT) to find the cause of an unexplained fever or inflammation. The goal was to see how often the scan helped doctors make a diagnosis and whether it changed the patient's treatment plan. The results will help doctors understand which patients benefit most from this imaging test.
