Can a simple scan predict breast cancer outcomes?
NCT ID NCT01996046
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special PET scan can help doctors see how well hormone therapy is working in breast cancer that has spread to the bones. About 75 adults with estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer and bone metastases will get a PET scan before starting new hormone treatment, then again at 4 and 12 weeks. Researchers will compare scan results to how long patients live without the cancer getting worse.
