Summary
This study tested whether trained female community health volunteers (FCHVs) can help prevent and control high blood pressure in rural Nepal. 520 adults aged 30-75 with high blood pressure took part. The volunteers led group meetings for blood pressure checks, health education, and medication support over 3 months. The goal was to see if this community approach lowers blood pressure better than usual care.
