This study tested whether trained female community health volunteers could help prevent and control high blood pressure in rural Nepal. 520 adults with high blood pressure took part. The volunteers led group meetings to check blood pressure, provide health education, and support medication use. The goal was to see if this approach lowers blood pressure better than usual care.
