First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether a short, structured breastfeeding education for fathers shortly after birth improves how dads support moms and increases breastfeeding rates. About 240 fathers of healthy newborns will be randomly assigned to receive the education or standard care. Researchers will measure paternal support behaviors and whether babies are exclusively breastfed at 1, 3, and 6 months.
