Diet showdown: can fasting beat the mediterranean diet for weight loss?

NCT ID NCT07378267

Summary

This study compared two popular eating patterns—intermittent fasting and the Mediterranean diet—to see which is better for improving body composition in overweight and obese adults. One hundred participants were randomly assigned to follow one of these diets. Researchers measured changes in body fat, weight, and nutrition knowledge to help people manage obesity, a major risk factor for heart disease and diabetes.
