Scientists use ultrasound to watch food leave the stomach
NCT ID NCT07299084
Summary
This study aims to understand how fasting and temporarily stopping the medication tirzepatide affect how much food and drink stays in the stomach after a meal. Researchers will use ultrasound scans to measure stomach contents in 40 people with type 2 diabetes or who are overweight or obese. The goal is to gather information to help make future medical procedures safer by understanding stomach emptying.
