Fake-Fast diet may boost prostate cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT05832086

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special 5-day monthly diet that mimics fasting can improve how well standard prostate cancer treatments work. About 138 men with advanced prostate cancer will either follow this diet or eat normally for 6 months. The goal is to see if the diet helps lower PSA levels and reduces side effects like weight gain and blood sugar changes.
