First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested faricimab injections in 60 people with diabetic retinopathy, a diabetes complication that can damage the eyes. Over 12 months, researchers used special imaging to see if the treatment helped reduce abnormal cells on blood vessels and restore protective yellow pigment in the macula. The goal was to control the disease and prevent further vision loss.
